Another interesting day of competition at Kingsdown saw the DP Team manage to collect 3 points versus Saga Louts and thus keep the cumulative deficit to just 2.
Again this only tells half the story as we very much looked like losing the afternoon Fourballs 2-4. Then a tremendous rally saw Larry and Trevor rescue a 2 hole deficit by winning the 17th and 18th holes to end up all square. That was swiftly followed by Martin Coles and Martin Taylor going down the 18th, 1 down, only for Martin Taylor to record his 3rd consecutive par and level their match, ending up all square.
Earlier in the afternoon Mick North and Brian Brookes finished their fourball 4 and 3 and then not to be outdone Paul Stephen and Bob Pippett won theirs 6 and 5. A tremendous effort by all 4 of you guys.
So, we now have the Singles matches to come next Friday. First tee time is 9am and with 12 points on offer, and their lead only 7-5, we can still win the trophy.
