Golf at Dawn — A Truly Special Experience

There’s something uniquely rewarding about golfing at dawn. The soft morning light, the stillness of the course, and the crisp, fresh air create a peaceful and rejuvenating start to the day. It’s also a wonderful way to combine exercise, relaxation, and good company before the world fully wakes up.

At Kingsdown Golf Club, roll-up tee times are available between 07:24 and 09:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Within this window, The Dawn Patrol operates as an organised group, offering members the chance to enjoy friendly yet slightly competitive golf on a regular basis.

• Mondays & Fridays: Individual events

• Wednesdays: Team events

Each round carries a £2 entry fee, which goes into the prize pot. On Mondays and Fridays players can win prizes for overall performance as well as the best scores on the front or back nine. On Wednesdays there is a team prize or prizes dependant on the number of players.

Meet in the clubhouse from 07:00, ready for the draw at around 07:30.

This website tracks handicap adjustments and overall winnings, and serves as a communication hub for the group.
