Dawn Patrol Christmas Competition and Lunch – Friday 19th December
The list for the Dawn Patrol Christmas Competition and Lunch is now available on the Dawn Patrol notice board.
The cost for the event, which includes a two-course Christmas meal, is £35. Please make all payments to Alex Annal.
Robin Dickinson Update
It is encouraging to hear that Robin Dickenson is showing signs of improvement following his recent operation. On Wednesday, he was seen walking by Terry Bishop’s house in Box and stoppe to have a chat with Terry.
Although his progress is slow, Robin is gradually regaining his strength and has begun taking short walks with his wife. It is wonderful news that he is now out of hospital and continuing to recover in the comfort of his own surroundings.
The Winter Eclectic 2025
The Dawn Patrol Eclectic Competition is gaining momentum. It will run through to Wednesday 17th of December 2025.
As we did last Wednesday, the team game next Wednesday 29th of October will be played from the Yellow tees in play. Use your full Course handicap off these tees.
The format for each team event will be selected to ensure that every player is able to complete a scorecard.
Avoid slow play. Make sure you keep up with the group ahead, and if you can’t improve your eclectic score or help your team’s score, please pick up.
Temp Greens in November – We obviously need to see the extent of the disruption we will face in November. However we are introducing a rule that if a hole has a temp green, it can’t count towards your eclectic score. We will be monitoring the situation and update you as required.

Captains Charity Individual Stableford – Friday 31st October 2025
Tom’s Charity event will be held next Friday 31st of October. If you are playing in the Dawn Patrol slot you don’t need to book tee times. The entry fee is £5. Register in Pro shop before playing.
Raffle Tickets are now available behind the bar.
Any prize donations greatly received. Please give them directly to Tom or leave with the bar staff.

No Dawn Patrol due to Cliff Rogers and bad weather.
Wednesday 22nd October
Team Game – 3 to count on the 1st, 2 on the 2nd and 1 on the 3rd – repeat – 23 players £46 pot. (over 20 so £30 to the winners and £15 to 2nd place and £1 to charity)
Winners with a challenging 86 points, Tim Pearce, Alex Annal and Steve Haresnape winning £10.00 each.
In second place, Shaun, Martin Hill, and Brendan on 81 – £5 each.

Remember: If there are over 20 or over players, there will be first and second prize awarded. (2/3 to first and 1/3 to second)
