Wednesday 29th April 2026

Today’s team game: 1, 2, 3 repeat all the way around. 18 players competed for a prize pot of £36, with no second place.

Winning with a score of 80 Andy Carnohan, Keith Bultitude and Roland Lovett. £12 each.

Congratulations to all players who took part.

Don’t forget winning a team event now means a loss of shot for all players and if there were a second place (20 and over players) they would lose 0.5 each.

For 20 or more players, both first and second prizes will be awarded. (2/3 to first and 1/3 to second)

Friday 1st May 2026

Twenty players participated today. When the kitty was checked, it was £2 short once again, repeating an issue that’s happened before. As a result, the pot was adjusted to £38.

To maintain fairness and trust, everyone must put their £2 in!

Keith Cawdell finished on 44 and won £19. Well done, Keith! I believe you submitted a card for handicap purposes, and so we look forward to seeing your revised playing handicap tomorrow.

Front 9 on count back between Terry Bishop, Ken Robinson and Stewart Menzies all on 20 goes to Ken £9.50 (Now Playing – Yellows 16)

Back 9, Guy Turner (19) £9.50 (Now Playing – Yellows 16)
Winnings credited to your bar account Ken and Guy.

Well played all!

Always check on the Dawn Patrol website for your accurate Dawn Patrol adjusted Playing handicap.

Triple Whammy

Don’t waste your breath complaining about handicap cuts (Brian). After my latest performance, I tried complaining to my computer… and guess what? The computer said “NO!”. No sympathy, no appeal, no VAR review.

In the Dawn Patrol on Friday 24th April, I teed off playing off 17 and thought, “Why not put a card in?” Famous last words. I somehow managed to win the event with 36 points, on countback, no less.

And then the real fun began:

  1. Cut a shot for winning, fair enough.
  2. Cut another shot for daring to cross the £30 threshold, how very greedy of me.
  3. Cut yet another shot on my IG handicap… which kindly drags down my Dawn Patrol handicap too.

So here we are… now playing off 14!!
