WHS and IG from 1st April 2024 – URGENT
Before we get to the resetting information it should be noted that as of 05:00 tomorrow morning the IG back-office will be updated with all the 1st April 2024 changes.
After the back-office goes live it is imperative to download and install the updated IG Member App ver 2.5.0 (Currently 2.4.9 iPhone and 2.4.8 for Android). If this is not done any score submissions to IG, via the app, will not use the new CR-PAR calculation and will have to be deleted and re-entered by the Competition Manager.
Handicap Reset for Summer 2024
Firstly, congratulations to Darren for achieving a massive winning pot of £112.00 over the winter season. Further his playing average was 34.43 over the 7 individual games recorded!
Unfortunately, this comes at a price. If you remember we published a rule at the end of last season whereby any player winning £100 or over would receive a 2-shot cut at the beginning of the new season. Further any player with winnings of £75 or over up to £100 would receive a 1-shot cut. (Yellow highlights in this image)
There is a change to the maximum playing handicap of 28. The 90% is now applied before the cap. (Orange highlights in this image)
So, to read the table, find your name and the bold Playing Handicap is your starting Handicap as of the 1st April. The last 3 columns are the summary records from last season.

Under trial
Individual (Monday and Friday) – the Monday game will be remain unchanged. On a Fridays however, we want all players to submit a card for handicap purposes. No gimme! The challenge here is you will be playing off 2 handicaps. Your Dawn Patrol handicap and your full handicap for handicap purposes. So don’t pick-up by mistake. Sounds complicated, but lets give it a try.
Team (Wednesday) – Where possible, if we end up with one or two Fourballs, the plan is for them to go out as two balls and add a Ghost card to their team at the end.
The team will be asked to nominate 1, 2 or 3 and then select a card from 3 ball set. Cards will be face down so no looking for Darren or Tom’s score :-). A bit like picking a card from a playing card pack. Again, let’s give it a try.
