Dawn Patrol Bowmaker

The Dawn Patrol Rollup celebrated the holiday season with a festive Christmas Yellow ball Bowmaker (Best 2 from 3) on Friday 20th December. This annual tradition brought together a spirited group of golfers for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and holiday cheer.

The weather conditions were kind, but typical for a December day at Kingsdown—cold and overcast. While there was a slight breeze throughout the day, it did little to affect the mood or the play.

After the final putt was sunk, the group reconvened in the Kingsdown clubhouse for a well-deserved, hearty Christmas meal. The club provided an excellent spread, with members enjoying a festive feast that included turkey, seasonal vegetables, and a selection of desserts. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everyone took a moment to reflect on the match, exchange laughs, and share in the enjoyment of the day’s activities.

A highlight of the match was Terry Bishops Eagle on the 8th. Having driven between the bunkers, his 8 iron approach was going nowhere other than in the hole. Well done Terry – a memorable moment.

Nearest the pin on the 4th

Another memorable moment came at the 4th hole, where Crispin Read played a blinder ending up a couple of meters from the hole – Well done Crispin

Nearest the pin in 2 on the 18th

Not to be outdone one of our intrepid leaders, Martin Taylor took this prize also within a couple of meters from the pin – A fantastic achievement Marin as there was an aggressive headwind.
