JC (John Cowie) Trophy
To those who do not know John, he was one of the original members of the Dawn Patrol with a terrific sense of humour and wit. He was our original compere for the DP Xmas meal and started the whole idea of issuing presents to those unfortunates to be in his firing line.
The JC Trophy was held today in the most magnificent weather – summer at last. 30 players set out at 08:04 to conquer the course. There were some good scores, but the overall winner with 39 was Shaun Wyatt. Congratulations Shaun a worthy winner of this commemorative trophy. Presented here by John’s wife Kathleen.
Second with a score of 36 went to Andy Carnohan and nearest the pin on the 17th to Guy Turner (and yes, he did make the birdie!). Well done Andy and Guy.

Remember for next Friday Richard George sent this. When declaring your intent to submit an acceptable score, you must return your scorecard, duly signed by the player and marker, after your round, otherwise you will incur a penalty score.
