DESCRIPTION:A date for the diary\, we have provisionally organised the JC (John Cowie) Trophy for Friday 10th May with a snack afterwards. \nFor those unfamiliar with John\, he was among the founding members of the Dawn Patrol\, characterised by a terrific sense of humour and wit. He was our original compere for the DP Xmas meal and started the whole idea of issuing presents to those unfortunates to be in his firing line. His wife\, Kathleen usually honours us with her presence and awards presents the trophy to the winner. Last year it went to Alex Fogwill. \nAll DP Members are invited to play\, whether you knew John or not and the list will be posted on Notice Board nearer the time.

DESCRIPTION:This year’s Christmas Spirit is scheduled for Friday 15th December. \nA non-qualifying 85% Handicap Stableford Rumble (2 of 3 scores to count) Competition open to entry group All Senior male Members to be played from the Winter Yellow tees.\nAfterwards there will be Mince Pies and Mulled Wine for all\, and the presentation of the prizes. \nTeams of three will be drawn from the entry list\, and will be seeded from low\, middle\, and high handicaps.\nI have placed an entry sheet on the notice board for you to add your names.\nEntry fee is £3/person\, please pay by Bank Transfer or Cash in the competitions box.\nWe are limited to 10 tee times on the day so the first 30 entrants on the list will be entered into the draw any others will be put on a reserves list.

DESCRIPTION:Dear Seniors Member\, \nI write to inform you that this Year’s  \nSENIORS CAPTAIN’s AWAY DAY will take place on \nMONDAY 9th OCTOBER at \nSaltford Golf Club. \n(This is a change of date from that in the Club Diary!) \nThis will be a Four Ball Better Ball format with amazing prizes for the Winners\, both Team and Individual; plus Nearest the Pin; and some special Captains Prizes! \nThe day will start at 10:00 with bacon sandwiches and coffee and then straight onto the Course from the first tee time of 11:00 in groups of four. At the completion of play there will be a meal and a prize giving ceremony.  \nAll of this for just £46:00. \nThe way for you to enter\, without delay\, is to put your name on the sheet in the Clubhouse Changing Room and then deposit the £46:00 into the Seniors Bank Account (details below). You will then be ready and will just need to await the draw and the final details! \nThis will be a great day out to celebrate Shanes Captaincy.
